Dana Goh
Dana Goh (b. 2001, Singapore) is a multidisciplinary artist based in London who works across various mediums such as textiles and painting. Her work explores the feeling of looking into a world that remains just beyond reach—a longing for something nostalgic yet unreal. Through imagery and imagination, she transforms ordinary moments into cinematic, dreamlike, and romantic scenes. Inspired by the aesthetic sensibilities of shoujo manga, she captures the innocence and wonder of a feminine perspective. Immersed in this act of romanticizing, her art becomes a personal form of escapism.
Influenced by the Impressionists’ exploration of light, Goh’s work reflects movement and the disruption between light, time, and space—expressing singularity and plurality at once. She draws lines and selects colors that evoke shifting perceptions, allowing her compositions to exist in a state of flux, much like fleeting moments of illumination.
A graduate of the Royal College of Art (2024), Goh has exhibited internationally in cities including London, New York, Vienna, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Liverpool, Shanghai, Singapore, and Seoul. She is a finalist for the VAO UK & International Emerging Artist Award 2024 (Young Artist) and a selected artist for the Emerging Woman Artist Award Art Prize. Alongside her art practice, she is also the founder of Qloud Collective.
